I don’t know about anyone else, but I never seem to get my to-to lists done. There is always something to be added, something I keep procrastinating on, or some reason to just not do it for me.
I have had several things on my heart lately, and it just seems that more and more things keep adding themlves to the list. It’s really time for me to have a little conference call with God. I need to ask Him what HE wants done first. I know that if I ask, He will help me clear this up.
I know He wants me to continue my Bible studies. I know He wants me to homeschool the children. I know He wants me to be a better wife to my darling husband. And I think He wants me to write my books and provide inexpensive options for other homeschoolers…but I think I had better make sure. There are a few other things I need to check out with Him also. I’m sure He will set me straight.
Now, I wonder if He can help me with my request for an extra 12 hours in a day? Hmmmmmmmmmm…we’ll have to see about that one I suppose.

Today I begin the preparations for the next month and a half of schooling. I have found so many wonderful things to help with this holiday season, I thought I would share them with you.
I have this need to make sure my children understand the actual meaning of Christmas. Things just seem to have gotten out of hand with the ‘I want’s, and yet nobody can tell me more than ‘Christmas is the day Jesus was born, and we get presents’. I’m so ashamed!
So, it’s time to fix that…starting with my preparations today. Here is a list of great resources, in case anyone else out there wants to add more Christ-filled lessons to your curriculum over the next few weeks.

Now, down to our update about our week…
Is it over yet? Have you ever had one of those weeks that you just can’t seem to get through your to-do list? Even with all the planning you have done, the schedules you have made, the cut-offs you have given yourself? Well guess what? That’s where I am at the moment.
I am working quite hard at getting the new book to actually resemble something concrete. I have notes everywhere, I have totally lost control of the paper in my bedroom (where I hide to do my writing). And not only that…but the launch for the new book is planned for Cindy Rushton’s Ultimate Homeschool Expo 2008… and it’s creeping up faster than I would like at the moment…HA!
Plus the bloodwork I had this week, we have our flu shots tomorrow (yes, the whole family at the same time!), little girls turning into ‘women’ at the age of 11 (OY!), a migraine that just won’t go away, even after 3 days…getting the picture yet? LOL…
I think I actually need a holiday. Fortunately, Monday is a holiday for hubby, so I’m hoping that I actually get to sleep in…scratch that…I’m hoping that I actually get to SLEEP…period.
But, for today, all I can do is pray for sanity and the ability to at least accomplish some of my to-dos, because I would really hate to have them turn into to-don’ts. God has great plans for His children, and I would hate to disappoint Him!

Well folks, we have good news up here in Quebec today…
First things first…after the complaint to Child Services that my wonderful oldest daughter and my step mother made, they have closed the evaluation and said that they will note it in the main file not to bother us for at least 2 years. Praise God for small miracles!
Second bit of good news…I took A for her evaluation of her learning disabilities today. After 3 hours, we got the great ‘unofficial’ news that she has gained at least a year in her learning. If she was in PS still, they would have her in grade 6, but learning at grade 3 level. When I took her out of PS last year, she was only learning at a grade 1 level. So, I guess that must mean I’m doing something right…
I’m off to another of Elisabeth Rushton’s webinar classes, as well as getting the new ebook finished…I’d like to have it out by the end of the week.

Hey y’all. The Guertin family has a new blog home…right here with Wordpress. I have seen so many of you with wordpress sites, I thought I would give it a try too.
So, nothing much new today, except that Volume 2 of the Ultimate Coloring Book is out as of today, and this weekend is Cindy Rushton’s Notebooking…Sure to Addict You Too! seminar. I can’t wait.
Back to working on the book again…I’m still aiming at December for a finish date…and details on the ‘Virtual Release Party’ will be coming soon.
